FF XI Goblin

Working on my favorite baddy from MMO Final Fantasy XI. Just now starting to add in the details. Lots of tweaking still to do before I start my renders but figured I'd post for some C&C.

I feel like theres something I'm missing that will help me capture this better. Maybe I need a break

Hey dude.

Welcome to Threedy.

Since I see you're using Blender. You could beef the Goblin up a bit by using Blender's sculpting features. Or better yet, acquire either ZBrush or Mudbox and learn those (it's valuable knowledge).

But also. Since, I see you're on the right track, and doing a good job while you're at it, I say you should finish up with a whole character.

Hey Tek, thanks for the encouragement! Your right, I definitely need to learn sculpting as I can see it being used extensively everywhere(lol like a fad). I've never sculpted anything before though so I'll probably wait till my next project to try it out. I want to get straight up modeling down packed.

I have a small update though. I wasn't liking the eyes and ears/holes so I redid them and reflowed some loops(again) to make it easier to put in some wrinkles. And an actual render

He's getting a body

Ok so I've started the body. Still tweaking, it feels still to long for me. Not sure if its the legs or the mid section. C&C welcome.

Looks to me that the head should be roughly the size of the torso. Good progress, keep it up
