Jackal Model for Halo: The Fallen Fan film

I was brought on to help out with the models for a local san diego fan film based in the halo universe.

I'm going to be doing a jackal model and a grunt model for them. I'm really excited about this project being a huge halo fan!

Here are a couple teasers:

Here's what i have so far for the jackal. He looks alittle bottom heavy because he's missing his head and arms. Once i put them in he'll hopefully look alittle more to scale. I'm really going to try to push my material reads on this guy since it's my weakest skill right now. Making the metals look like metals, the rubbers like rubbers...etc. I kind of touched on it just alittle on my last project, and will hopefully really get into it with this guy.

Blockout:

Finished up his legs and moving on to the butt flap.

Put the blockout of the jackal's body in just to see how the proportions look.

I've definitely not been keeping this post up to date! Here's a pretty big update on this guy.

I have him scheduled to be finished up at the end of november.

Hoping to finish him up and possibly use him to find some freelance modeling spots.
