Question How to create Gothic Arches please???

This has been puzzling me for a long time and I can't seem to come up with the solution, so much so that it drives me to distraction

How do I create the Gothic Arch shape typically found in medieval cathedral doors and windows please?
I have tried using splines and such but it seems very hit and miss, there must be an easier solution out there? Very grateful for any advice and help with this as it would mean me being able to move on and improve my modelling further, at the moment I seem fixated on finding an answer to this one problem.

Thank You in anticipation.

+1 for tekneek - dont realy get what you want. to be more precise i understand that you want some pointers on creating gothic type arch , but there is a problem with it. these arch'es are wery simple to make, but what we would need to see is some reference of what you specifycly want cause i , in a minute, found about 200 types of gothic arch designs.
as for ponters - for now i could suggest using splines with a combination of simple poly modeling tools + booleen operations.
if you would give some image you are trying to recreate i might find some time to do a mini micro tut about tools and techniques i would use, ofcourse if i find some time.

Question Thanks for replies

Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated. I have attached a Jpeg image of various "Gothic" arched windows, the kind of shape that I want to master so that I can continue modelling. I am using 3ds Max 2010 and enjoy modelling buildings. I have a great interest in history and would love to be able to model aspects of churches or cathedrals so with this knowledge I will be able to happily continue modelling instead of getting frustrated. I hope you are all able to view the image?

Thanks again for any further help.
