Most people here use Maya, 3dsMax, Lightwave and Softimage XSI. Basically the four main programs in the 3d.

You can purchase them at their sites.

www.newtek.com (i think?)

Go to www.discreet.com and there is an order page. Just type in your address and they will send you a fully functional evaluation version for free. You don't even have to send the postage. How simple is that? After the time is expired, you can roll back the time 3 more times. By this time, you could follow all the millions of tutorials for 3d max, and then if you badly want to use it again and have no money, you will have to make a format.

I didn't mean they use all three, I meant those are the main programs used on these boards.

Most have a free trial or locked version.

Maya has the PLE.
Max has the GMAX
Softimage has something similar.
Not sure about lightwave.
