Maya: VRay Refraction not working
Hey,
don't know what to do anymore.. I applied a glass material to an object and after rendering the whole material was black.. After creating new scenes and reimporting stuff I found out that only newer objects were visible in the refraction... the plane behind is a newer mesh.. ![]() any advice? thx Last edited by Snyder; 28-03-2012 at 05:25 PM.. |

I had the same problem...
But I knew a way how to made the old mesh new: Make a new Primitive Polygon in the scene (Cube, Sphere, Plane...) Select the old mesh and combine it with the new Primitive Polygon. Now select all faces from the new PRIMITIVE (that you combined with the old mesh) and delete them. And now you have your old mesh new ![]() Sorry my english is NOT perfect... |
