Nvidia have unveiled their new GPU, the GeForce GTX 690.

3072 Cuda cores and 4gb memory sounds great, but i'm guessing this card will be as useful as the GTX590 for Iray rendering ?

are we still better off with the GTX580 3gb ?

The 680 turned out to be a real disappointment for GPU rendering in both OpenCL and CUDA (didn't hear of any significant FPS-boosts in the viewport either), hopefully this card will be better off, it certainly have the cores necessary to be a beast but we'll see in a few days.
