Sketchbook MK II

Ive decided it may be a better move to start a sketchbook that I can post everything I'm working on into.
As with my current project I've taken it back to the very start and im going to redesign it from the very beginning.
Im going to sketch some stuff out on paper over the next day or so.

To begin with I've also uploaded a rough WIP of a gun im working on.

Here's to improving

The gun is interesting but I'm having trouble working out how someone would hold it comfortably with the supports at the front. Is it supposed to be hand-held or is it due to be mounted?

The mask is quite nice, but I think you could do with getting a good model of the head that would go under it as it looks very uncomfortable right now! What was the new workflow you used?

Yeah the gun was just a quickly done rough sketch.
Not something im really bringing forward.

I am however doing some collab work with one of my Uni mates.
And ive got some sketches for the preliminary stages of that.

Also I did build the helmet over a head and made sure it fitted, however it again was just a sketch done from some basic concept art.

Updated my female basemesh/anatomy study.
I need to fix the head though. The mouth is kind of broken.

Anatomy needs lots of work, make sure to use reference, don't try to outline every muscle as it is meaning (there's flesh between them) keep it up

ALWAYS have reference. no matter what you make, grab reference and lots of it. especially when doing a study, where you are aiming to learn atm, and not to be mean, you anatomy is just plain wrong. my advice would be to start over. grab a good basemesh of a human figure and first study the musles. look up the musles on the internet, grab an actual book, whatever, and keep that reference near you. human anatomy is arguably one of the hardest things to get right and to get it right takes a lot of work and a lot of studying.

i know, i've had to make the human skeleton and a large portion of the muscles that we humans have for an anatomy class. i can tell you, i learned a lot and i became a better artist because of it. so really study
