New Character | W.I.P: Phooka

Hello Guys! Thought I'd work on a new character called Phooka. I haven't done any personal work in ages, so here I go! I'll be back

Scetch drawing (From a Fairy book: Brain Froud and Allen lee)

Phooka:

I started the horns at a basic shape so far. As for the rest of the head, I don't wanna put too much detail there since its gunna be covered with shag hair. I think its detailed enuf already, so ill leave it up to the tweaking stages.

Head shots:

Wires:

I worked on the body on thnx given hollidays. I took my time on it and it still needs ajustments here and there, also legs will be added shortly following the hands and feet. Ill be back again with updates later.

PS: I'm not really sure about his belly though, think I should put him a a diet?

I'll be back.

Body Shots:

Wires:

Future Rigging theroys!

I studied more on Character Studio 4.0 today, and I think ill plan to rig this character with charatcer studio along with bone setups for the muccles. This site here made by James Haywood with his great tutorials showed me new ways to rig a character. Needs minor ajustments though but heh, what I did was I Studied his Arm mucles tutorial, http://jhaywood.com/croiProjectArm05.htm
and just like apllied that same theroy the the biped arms. and it works. So Im assuming that we can aplly this to any muccles structre on da body cool eh? hehe brb, ill post updates very soon!

Hooves

I did his feet yesterday and I thought I post em, There still at a basic shape, and will define the joints and lil musslce tone around the legs. I thought of doing his legs and feet this way becaese I was tired of seeing the orginal hind legs of a goat or the Lucifer originality. so I'm gunna go with the front legs of a goat instead looks more like our legs heh, anyways heres the Idea picture im gunna go for and the following is the basic shape of where I'm going.

Idea:

Basic Mesh:

sup mdb

i really dig how the torso and abdomen of this model is deviating from the idealized male physique that's becoming cliche in 3d. i'd say run with that. imho i'd say push the proportions even farther away from a perfect physique. just me but i'd really like to see 3d work get away from perfectly ripped guys and well endowed hot girls.

lookin forward to updates.

I only see a prob with his ankles, you should find a ref of a deeer or moose. So you can see exactly how they looks. Cause that right now is wrong.

Everuthing else rules as hell.
