Just downloaded random 3 models from the free section - not impressed, just chamfered edges, smoothing groups. No optimisation, hard surface modeling. Few objects fused into one by attach geometry. Still interested in how you handled cut outs, since I couldn't find that type of a model in the free section.
Good luck in creating a market place need for your models. |

I have to agree with rockneasta. The first model I downloaded was one big artifact. Importing the same model from the "obj tri" folder was better, that is rendering wise, but the model was one big mess. Other models I tried weren't optimized, as rock already noticed.
Im sorry, but I think you should try to put a bit more effort in the models before selling them to the big crowd. However, I am sure some people will find good use for them even now. So best of luck from me too. |

Hi, re the artifact issue, if it is MAX, try check the "retriangulate polygons" mark when importing the quad obj. That may solve the issue.
