the famous rigging tutorial for max!!!

Hi guys,

I'm doing the rigging tutorial that came in the MAX tutorial help file, and I'm having a problem..

aside from don't understanding anything about rigging the spine, I came into arm rigging..I just made the 3 helpers "world, local, tween" that controls the hand linkage to the spine or the world..

I made everything and when I finish wiring, the tween helper flies to eternity!!!..it just go far away and I don't know why..I hope somebody helps..thank u..

well, i think the spine has a problem in the tutorial.

because in the leg rigging u dial the number of frames up to 10000 (i think) it screws up the spine computations - so it legs horribly.

i ended up making my own spine using simple IK as far as i remember.

about the arms - just do what i did! redo it 1 million times over!

if u want, PM me, and i'll have a look at your file, c if i can see what's wrong. but check, re-check and double check your links. then check them again...

it turned out that the manual made a mistake!!
yes..look at the picture and u'll find that I'm right..
my mistake was that I looked to the pic and didn't read the text..
so everytime I did what's pointed in the pic I had that problem..

but I have a question what does the weights in the pic refere to??

Weights.

I think weights refer to how much emphasis your bones have on vertecies in your animation. Meaning, it tells your verticies how much it should follow a particular bone.
