looks like good modelling but what the hell would you do with a big machine gun on a train? seems like a strange weapon that with textures you could pull off

The rounds look too small. The diamiter of the barrel looks like it should have a larger shot than what the shells are. but other than that it looks good, I'd like to have one of those in the boot of my car (tail-gaters beware!
)

Well, its not meant to be attached to a train, but it goes along a line, it would be mainly sued for guarding trains though. the top part of the gun swivels round BTW. dhin: Ok, im going to have to remember, never go near your car! Yeah i guess the rounds are to small, but i thought the gun looked stupid with a mini barrel. ill think of a way to fix that. |

you should add some sort of turning brackets or something, the it would be really obvious that it moves. alternativly you could put it on some sort of a tank. i think i tank would be really cool with maybe one or two of those.

Wotcha! Nice gun but there's a couple of places you can lose some polys
1. The wires(?) at the front don't really add that much to the gun and wouldn't be seen a lot of the time. 2. The bullet strip should be contained within a box like a minigun strip, rather than a string of bullets. This would be more realistic and would require a lot less polys as you could use a texture instead: ![]() |

for some reason the poly count doesn't seem to match the model. the model looks like a few hundred. not thousand.
lose the wires like Perversonality has said. no one is realy gonna see them in the same gap. |

Each bullet looks like about 20 polys (assuming 5 sided though it's hard to tell) with a minimum of 24 bullets by the looks of things which is a whacking 480 polys that could be cut down to around 32 or so if you used a box. If the wires were straight, three-sided cylinders then that would help too if you want to keep them.
Any chance of a wireframe? |

Well, ill keep the wires. I used a 3 sided cylinder so it only takes up in total 121 polys (aprox.) You were right about the 5 sided, there are 26 in total. Personally, i think they look cooler with them moddeled individually, but i will try out a box, it dpepends if it looks better or not. nendo>its for an action rpg (re-written) and ill post a wireframe when i get my pc bak.
