Heh would anyone like to help on a mod

There are four of us making a mod for HL2, one level designer, one scripter, one concept artist, and one modeler/texturer/animator. I have gauged our progress and have decided that I cannot complete everything that needs to be done in a timely manner. You see I need to make, I figured, 40 statics meshes, 10 characters, 15 gun models (viewport and in-game), 5 cars, and a hell of a lot of textures. So if anyone is interested we can send you concept art next week. The first week of november. If you live in the Portland/Gresham area that would be a serious plus. Oh and you have to be pretty decent at making things. You know better then John Silver.

okay

nendo you can do guns, low poly guns like 3500 polys or so, not military grade stuff, like stuff you get at Wal-Mart, so far we have a working deagle, and a list of various guns we want, such as a beretta 92 fs, a .22 rifle (lol), a coach shoty, a pistol grip home defender shoty, an ar variant, some kind of obscure smg, and moltov cocktails plus various ****. I think we totalled it to 12 guns that each have various qualities and charisteristics that make each of them unique.
Clawda, Search John Silver, Chopper Wip. You have to see to believe.
Geoman can you do low ploy stuff?

Also refer to the threads that En and I have made in Game Art describing the nature of our game and game play.

lol I know who John silver is, and I really think he's just messing around by posting a lot of **** here, he's probably more skilled than that (?)...

I can do anything if I get paid, if you want to see my work, well, some of it has been posted here, search for it if you want...peace

It's a MOD!

This is the essence of a mod. No $ involved! This allows creative freedom and just generally allows mods to exist. Ummm... three of us don't have jobs and i am tight fisted dishbitch. So to answer your question I am sure you are a good modeller but we have no money. Ummm...ya.

Hey, if you havn't seen our other posts Im one of the guys on -b-'s team. I handling level design and scripting mainly, my modeling skill are, well, really bad. oh, i do texturework too. Anyway, I want people to know we're not just another group of noob's with no skill talking about making an HL2 mod.

We originally started work for UT2k3, but when we saw the source engine demo from E3 it was too good to pass up. We'd already wanted to do a Physics heavy game, but the Unreal tech lagged any time 3 or more items were grinding against each other. So the switch seemed natural.

Since we have no SDK yet, we're building up a library of textures, models, etc. basicaly all the things you can make with no SDK.

We recently reworked our basic gameplay concepts, so we have a big pile of concept art thats no longer relevant. I'll talk to -OompaLoompa- (our concept artist) and get some new art. I'll post it by next friday. In the meantime, heres some of my mapwork from UT2K3 and one of ouyr old concept charactrers. We've changed our gamplay alot since then, so PLEASE dont use these as the basis for models.

Ok, a few things that might make your mod look a bit more...good...as in team image.

First of all, avoid "HEH" in titles. It relaly make it look tacky...

Second, making cheap jokes about john silver aint the best thing to do. its going to make your team look bad, and unprofessional.

Thirdly, if you want someone to model weapons for you, maybe make a list of guns, rather than putting a few down and then saying "plus another laod of ****"

Fourthly, saying you're a "tightfisted dishbitch" isnt going to make you a very good leader. Also, say Ummmmm 2 times made you sound like you dont have a clue about the mod.

Im not the best at team image, but those are a few tips to avoid huge humiliation.

SniperMaster, let me clear some stuff up.

1) "HEH" was a typo, this is a forum, it happens.

2) -B- does not speak for the rest of the team, and he and silver know each other and are just joking around.

3)Desert Eagle .50, .357 magnum revolver, USP .40, Berretta 92fs, .22 calibur rifle, CAR 15, USC, Pump action shotgun.

4) -B- is NOT the team leader, and who cares if he says "Ummm" in his posts?

Remember guys, this is a mod, were making it for fun. Its not like were getting paid for it. If you want to help us out it would be nice, but dont expect anything out of it other than maybe getting to see some of your work in a playable game.
