The beginnings of my site

I'm starting to get a website up of some of my work, but before I got too far into it I thought I'd ask you guys what you thought of the layout, design, etc... That way I can change anything before I had far too many pages to change. So far I've only got content in the WIP section so please go straight to that area. You can either leave a crit here or use my contact link and e-mail me directly.

Also I've heard that the way I've set up my site would cause it not to be able to load in Netscape. Can anybody check that out for me?

Here's the link:

Any replies are greatly appreciated.

I think it looks quite cool and the layout is looking good.
The only thing I saw that could use some looking at is when you select an image from the WIP section and it breaks down to the images on the left and the text in the body (on the right) there's no scrollbar in the body so you can't scroll the text.
You could make the text smaller but if you have a lot of text you'll still need a scroll bar on it. Also once you select an image from the left eg I selected the Mummy then you can't get back to the text, without using the top level menu, prehaps a link to the description ect.. as a header above the images that appear in the left with the name of your work and a link back to the text?

Looking good though.

Cheers
Shaun

Thanks for the good suggestions guys.

Shaun, I totally agree with you about putting a link back to the description above the images. I'm not sure why I didn't incorporate that in the first place. I'll be sure to add that in. I'm also looking into gett a scroll bar in the description area. I just don't want it to make my design look bad. Since I did use frames, you'd see a scroll bar in the middle of the page. I'll see what I can come up with.

RodrigoRosa, my thought with the color scheme was to keep the rest of the page simple and monotone that way the attention would focus on the artwork and not the site as that is why I am trying to show off. I can always go back and play around with that though if you think it would help out more. I also wanted to stay away from pop-ups initially. I usually find them annoying. Though I'm starting to think that maybe I'll have the full size image that loads into the page be a link itself to a larger size image that would load in a pop-up. Does that sound interesting? That way you only would have to wait for a larger size image to load if you really wanted to see it.

Again, thanks for the comments. I really appreciate them and do consider everything you have to say.

I like the design it's nice.

But...
Your mouse on overs in the menu... The pictures are cut a little wrong. if you let your mouse slide over "W.I.P" then it includes some of the "glow" from the "3D Art" button...

btw... good luck with your site

Ha Ha, yeah I've noticed that too Ubique. I'll have to make sure to fix that before too long, as it looks sloppy. Thanks for the compliments.
