holy crap lol
awesome work
onl thing that looks odd to me, isnt the bridge usually like a silvery metal / chromish? and same with those little receiver things on the pickups, and the tuners?
dono, just thought that it looked a little dark, did u render with a black background? anyway, the modelling and detailing is impeccable

That certainly is one beautiful instrument. That fretboard design really makes the model. And of course the the great textures, modeling and lighting. Please let me know if you find a host, would love to see the tut. I take it you play?

great job, but one thing:

The edges at the main guitar body look too hard to me. Try making them a little more round...

Turn on supersampling in the material editor for the chrome material, the reflections are kindo of messy, it will look much smoother then, otherwise stunning guitar you got there.

the bump/texture on the strings needs serious attention - at least 3 of them (E,A & D) should be "wound" but the one thing that stands out (to me at least) is that the fretboard should be curved not dead flat.

Other than that - nice work

flat fretboard

yeah dude. the fretboard are curved. in floyd rose guitars, the scale are a lot less curved that in strat (for example). in a almost flat scale, you can get a lower action (with the strings almost hitting the frets), but you got some dificults with bends and baree chords. (that why that guitars come with jumbo frets)

the strings really need a better bump. besides it, nice model

was gonna say, they must be the jumbo frets. Cool guitar, but i disagree, it does not look photorealistic. There should be more of a gloss to the body coat. The metal maertial coukld do with a little attention and also as Andy said, the lower E,a & d should be wound, unless of course you use higher guage strings with a wound 3rd!

tee hee

time for a little "advertising" here - check out issue 41 of 3D World - I did a modelling and texturing tutorial for a guitar in that issue.
