Bride of Frankenstein

Here is a old character I am trying to finish up. She is the Bride of Frankenstein. I have a Frankenstein character I made earlier in the year and she is his match. I'll post his pic under hers just in case you are interested. I think the head mesh is finished, though may still need some more tweaking and the body is obviously not finished. I have the hands, arms and legs to finish up then I'll start texturing. I hope to finish the modeling phase by tomorrow. So any crits before then would be appreciated.

Thanks Gl2eEn.

I'm finishing up the model right now. I'm starting to wonder about accessories now. I've never been one to add them onto a character, but I think she could use some. Problem is I have no idea what to add. So if anybody has idea, please throw them my way. I'd be much obliged. I just threw on some electrical bolt earings, but I'm not sure they work or not. And I suppose I should model a wedding ring since she is the bride of Frankenstein. Any other thoughts on the subject though?

Also, I'm wondering what I should do with textures. Should I put some stitches and cuts on her like Franky, only less obvious? I don't want her to lose her sex appeal by putting gross things all over her, but I think she should have some.

Here is a pic with the earings...

Here is a close up of Franky so you can see the details of the stitches and cuts. Obviously I don't want to mangle up the Bride as much as Franky here, but I'm thinking maybe do the stitched skin effect around the outside of her face and down the neck. Something along those lines. But not actually have any cuts right through the face. Do you guys think that will look alright? And while I'm asking questions, what do you think of the color scheme I have going on with her so far?

Looks great as always, if Frank gets tired of her bride, I'll take her
Maybe you could give her some scars on the forehead so that they kinda looks like wrinkles?

Vertigo, glad to see you back on this project! The bride looks as sexy as ever and I found your stitches solution to be the perfect one. As for the gore, I think that her white dress spoted by some blood stains, dirt and maybe some green stuff would do the trick. Keep us updated and goodluck!

I think she is fantastic. A widowspeak would be perfect on her. She really has alot of character good job.

Well, I think the modeling is done. Unless I come up with more idea for accessories. I also started to unwrap her legs and put some stockings on her. Though I don't have the skin color on her legs right yet, but I haven't decided on the final skin color yet, so that will have to wait.

sarN - Thanks, as always. I'm not exactly sure what you mean is wrong with the lipstick. But I can let you know that those are only colored polys right now, so the color isn't laying in exactly the right spots.

rubberduck - I think you need to get away from the computer more This is the second woman model of mine that you seem to have taken an unhealthy fixation upon. LOL. Thanks for the compliment though. I'm gonna start unwrapping her face tomorrow and hopefully start to try out some texturing ideas. I'll post some updates soon, so I hope to get some feedback from you.

Avatar - Thanks bud. Though I can't say I'm completely back on this project. I'm more getting some models done so I can put a demo reel and print portfolio together. Yes, soon I shall be in search of the elusive 3d job. So wish me luck.

_M_ - Thank you, but I'm not exactly sure what a widowspeak is. Could you explain it for me? Thanks.

Yup, you're right there rubberduck. I asked a good friend of mine about the widow's peak and she confirmed that it is the m shaped hairline. But I really don't want to exaggerate the hairline too much. I think she would look too much like my dracula . But I did add a slight one. Also, I am done with the unwrapping. So I should be able to start on the texture soon. Probably either tonight or tomorrow. I also have to work on concepts for my devil's tonight. So we'll see how much I can get done.

slight widows peak...

Good luck searching for the job Veritigo buddy! I hope you found one to suite your talents!

Well, I'm glad the forum is back up. It was a long hiatus.

I've started to texture my bride of Franky. I've so far only got the stitches roughed out, but I'd thought I'd get opinions on where I've put them. I don't want them to be too distracting, but think they are an integral part of the character. I don't think I'll make them as gnarly as Franks stitches.

Here's the image, and crits are welcome of course.
