I lose the Righ side panel

I don't have the least idea why this happens. Sometimes when I finish a render (3DS MAX 5), it doesn't matter if it takes 1 sec or 1 hr, when the rendering finishes the panels of the user interface disappear in a random way. For instance, yesterday I lost the animation panel at the bottom of the UI. Today I lost the right panel where the modifier stack panel is with all the settings.

WHy the hell is this happening ??? does anyone have any idea?

I tried locking the UI but nothing. And for worse, I don't know how to find a way to get the right panel back to the UI !!!! I tried reverting to startup layout and reloading the UI but nothing....

the standard Max shortcut is "3" for the menu.
