The short ist 2 min. 22 sec.. But not b/w. I tried to get the look as a colored postcard at that time. Like this: Matthias www.cgimages.de Last edited by matthias@3dtota; 16-01-2004 at 02:25 PM.. |

Great work matthias!
Must have taken some time to do this short totally on your own. But I have to say I do like the B/W version shown in the stills here in this thread better. Maybe you can try out a B/W version of the short. Could make it more real. Just like in very old doku-films from WWII. Very blury and grainy, as well as film damages etc. but also blury. I assume you have some reference material to get the right adjustments. But this is just a suggestion and my opinion at least and never the less you´ve done some impressive stuff there. Cheers Alex |

Looks really cool. Couple of questions, though:
What did you do the explosions with in the video? And about how long did it take for the whole project? Was it the whole semester, or just the "final project" ?? Thanks and good work. |

Hi tx413!
For the final explosion, i used the Artbeats Real Fire and Real Exlposion Material and Map this to a few planes in Maya. I know it looks not really good, but i have to finish the project. I did the hole project by my self in 9 moths beside my study and beside some other projects. Thanks for your questions. Cheers Matthias |

great new look
Hallo Matthias!
I think the new black white look fits very fine to your movie. It gives it a really more realistic touch when the old cg look. You`ve got also a very interesting homepage I like your work. May the yellocubus with you! |
