I found that when I had problems modelling a part of a car, the answer was to model it as a seperate object. Maybe just start with a plane from the top view and extrude down?

and back view.

Does anybody have some good tips on modelling/texturing the rear lights??? They just look crap at the moment.

Dont worry about the paint & chrome just yet, they're just experiments.

Actually, from the last render with the paint, the spoiler doesn't look totally right on.. Just a nitpick, but as I understand from the picture of the real car, the spoiler isn't welded to the hood and the part in the red circle on my picture shouldn't be connected to the hood..

Thanks guys.

The spoiler is actually a seperate object, I just messed up the alignment a bit. But no, that is not my car in the photo. It is just a reference pic I got off the net.

I got one on my car too. I don't really know what practical purpose it serves, other than to look cool.!

Nice modeling. Haha, messing with the textures and renders this early you will never get done. They look really good all the same.

Thanks Rick.
I think your right mate!!! My computer goes stupid before the project is even opened!

Well anyway, I think the exterior is finally done.
A little bit more texture work, & I gotta add windscreen wipers.
I added on some riceboy decals too...
More to come. (SLOOOWWWW Rendering!)

leave the front wing off. I think it looks silly. I like these cars alot, but some people just go too far with them. remember, less is more in cases like this (with most cars). Granted, I understand that there may be one or two preludes that need a spoiler (front, rear, or both), but generally speaking they dont simply becuase they dont have the HP or torque to require such down force. A wing /spoiler will only yeild negligable results until you get above 90 mph and chances of that ahppening in a 1/4 mile are slim unless it is turboed or running a 125 shot of nitrous.
here is an example of what I mean by "simple" in terms of import tuning.
