Digital Double
Hey there. I cooked up a nice render of this model for a college application. It was made to act as a double in a movie I made, so things like the hair looking odd in a close-up were not an issue.

Except for the hair (as you said) it looks really nice! Nothing to crit. Very cool special effects in the movie too, fun to watch.

Yes, the hair looks really crappy but the rest is great. Imho convincing hair is one of the most difficult parts when modelling a character.

Why do you think the face would be blurry when I'm using a texture that's a couple thousand pixels in area? Up Close you can even see my pores...
Any suugestion on how to get it to look nicer?

(Have you tracked it by hand? Or with a tracking application?!) |

That movie is awesome! And I love the sound track and the title. I watched it a few times. The scene where you flip over the car is practically seamless. The cheesy effects are great too because it seems like they are meant to be that way.
As for making your model look more “photo-real”, I don’t use 3d studio max but you should be able to achieve the same results as in my suggestions. The clothes appear to just have color maps applied to them. You may try adding or turning up the intensity on specular, diffuse shading and bump maps to achieve a more realistic result. On the skin you may try using and incident angle gradient in the incandescence and specular channels to fake a subsurface scattering effect. This may or may not help but that is kind of how I create skin. |

hay, just letting u know how AWESOME and INCREDIBLY REALISTIC this is. Probably one of the best humans modeled and clothed that ive seen not done by a big time guy. ( if u know what i mean )
NICELY DONE! O Yeah, in that scene(s) you use the model, how did u make the frames in 3DS max instead or 100, like 250? ( know what i mean? ) Thanks, PS GREAT WORK! KEEP IT UP!

LOL!
Some of the effects could be improved upon but it just makes it more funny anyhow. How long did it take you to make this? and yes, the font does scroll a little too fast for me ![]() |

HA HA. Man that was great.
That reminds me of the films me and my friends used to make. Of course way back in those days we didnt have these fancy computers and special effects. Way funny though. I especially like the anime looking still shots with super action power activation. Thats good stuff right there. ![]() |
