Megaman X

This is a small project i (kinda speed modeled, took about 2 hours to do) in 3D Class. (finally i can brag about being in a 3d-Class )

The reference picture came right out of Megaman X (Super Nintendo game.)

Unlinke many other models i indent to finish this one, no many how many days, weeks or months it might take to make the head.

I do know that the gun isint sopoust to be on the left arm, but since i'm using the symmetry moifier its gonna change later on.

Comments, critz, suggestions, all welcomed.

very cool man but from the angle of the latest post his feet seem a little thin, i think it doesnt suit the character very much (though i do admit i have never seen a picture of the character your modelling)

First, the helmet seems too tall. Also, the X-Buster would switch hands depending on which way you were looking, unfortunatly I can't look in the game booklet and give you any more advice because I lost it years ago at my doctors office. That was a great game though.

His head is too big.

I got a tip for u.

Do each part fot them selfe.I mean Do the shoother thing first and then his arm (NOT shoother arm and Extrude from there to the arm.. Do a new cylinder insteed) and do it under a long time until each part look great And try to do soo much details u can and skip the meshsmooth 2
(i think u use 2)

there's someting funky going on with the geomotry, he looks really flat. Also you are using way too many polygons for the ammount of detail you are putting in, it's making him, look distorted, little bumps everywhere u know. Also I recommend like was mentioned before that you model him in pieces. Oh and the head... I suggest you get references, it looks, off.

Once again, it lives.

Now the last time i posted i had a disfigured head, 2x Arm cannons and no bones.

I'v mostly fixed that now.

Btw. im only using Meshsmooth illiterations 1, not 2 and since im working on this in school then i dont really have enough time to do every part for itself, but i re-did the shooter.

I'm not really happy with the face but tiw ill have to do now, I'm really sorry for the lack of renders but im doing this project in school on REALLY slow computers and well, rendering is not my fav. thing to do there.

Comments, Critz and basicly anything that can help is gladly accepted.
