Problems with time set up in the boards

Ive noticed this for quite awhile now but havent really said anything. Im in the central time zone. and when I have that selected lets say I post something at 3:50pm it will show the time on the thread as 11:50pm. I have to have my time zone set as GMT+10:00 hours(australian time)east, just to see the right time on the threads when I post something. its nothing major but still. Is anyone else having this problem? I like in milwaukee, wisconsin so having to set my time zone for the boards to be best set to australian time just doesnt seem right.

If its not a mistake, I think the timezone for the boards should be changed. How many people on here are from that timezone?

I would be hapy with PST or EST, even though I am on GMT myself. Choosing a weird timezone like this just seems... weird

Hmm...

Theres a "time offset" setting you can set in your user control panel, but it doesnt seem to do anything. The times remain in this "weird" time zone.

I think thats broken too, or maybe the 2 things are related
