Looks pretty good.
I think the curve around the bowl of the spoon is a bit rough, tho... maybe needs more geometry in that area? And some of the yellow handles have artifacts around the base of them, where the (plastic?) meets the metal, like maybe they need to be scaled up a tiny bit. I think you're close. |

Not really seen any work done with Cinema4D what is the interface like in regards to modelling and rendering. Have you found it hard to use ?

aha.. first thing i found amusing was how you said "rendering with C4D"..as if you modelled it in another app. and rendered out thru something else.. eg: modellign with Max and rendering with Brazil.
Trav, C4D is for ppl new to 3d. The interface is colourful, simplistic, very easy to navigate, easy to animate and model. It's what i started on last year at college until i got 3dsMax 5. Don't get me wrong about C4D, it's easy and that's a good thing, but it's mediocre compared to Max etc.. Here's a rough Learning Curve of the 3 programs i mentioned.

the point is u can get great renders out of it, even if it is simplistic at least its 100X better than bryce because its past that creativity limit if u get wot i mean

Blackwolf you're wrong, bryce is a program almost specifically made for creating 3d landscapes, but you can do animations also. I know what C4D is like because i used to use it, if you havn't then dont comment on it. Going by your last post it looks like you've used it, but in your first post you made it clear that u havnt by saying "and he is going to renderr with c4d". I'm not 100% sure on this but I dont think you can mdoel in C4D and render out using something else.
I'm not having a go at ya, but you can get mediocre renders out of it, here's a render I did with a scene i modelled in C4D, dont comment because i know it's dodge, it's just proving me right! ![]()

ah yeah they're alright. apart from what i was saying before, texturing isn't as good in C4D as in Max, that's the first thing i noticed when i changed proggies.

c4d render -
to be honest, in v8 its very powerfull and has a great amount of depth , it isnt a kiddies/noob program you speak of.. just has a short learning curve. which is bad?
