Max Vs. Maya
hi all
i'm wondering... almost all digital artists use 3dsmax and a Discreet certified rendering system... almost all movies and cinematic cg effects are made in maya! anybody knows what's up with this?? |

as far as I have been told, 3DMax is good for modelling and still photos Maya has a good animation section and good particle effects. I have used both for a little bit and I have found Maya to be alot more simplistic as far as controls and modelling nurbs, but found Max better with polys? I think its more a matter of what you like. |

Who ever told you that is full of crap, 'they' use whatever works best for the effect they want to achieve. There is no 'do it all' program out there, you'll find that people in the industry will use a combination of applications rather then just one.
