The eyelashes are really wrong, they should not be perfectly spaced and facing all in the same direction quite like that...if her eyelashes are that thick it would look more natural to make them a little clumpy and maybe add some eyeliner - most girls don't have the perfectly curled and un-spidery lashes that mag models do. I think the problem is the eyebrows, with that skin color it seems too dark. Also they are too thick (width-wise and quantity-wise), it looks like she penciled them in with a black browliner. I'm not saying make it really really thin, just pluck a few hairs here and there... really nice texturing job tho

Heres an update,
The skin shader is now on all the mesh and uvs cleaned up, eye lashes/brows smoothed, and there is a wire of the control cage. Currently the mesh is symmetric hence the symmetry of blemishes.

thanks for crits so far.

Relly nice, Can't w8 to see the finished result!!! But, There is 1 problem with the texture, You got to much specular on i think, So she almost looks like a WAX model.. Just a suggestion..

wow, grate detail, the eye lashes look grate after the update, i would add a bit more eyebrows though,

do you have a ref on the texture, it looks really detailed and all i could draw up on my meshes was a smeered look of a woman

any way love your work.

scoop man, there is a great tut on 3dtotal for eyelashes, I used this as a base and refined a little for use with skinning (turned into editable polys), find the tut in "Modelling and Rigging" section of tutorials an go through it. It is fiddly but gives exellent results

Great job. She needs a longer neck, and I don't want to see the insides of her nose . Her head seems a little big for the body as well, but I may be wrong. Oh and less freckles, you can tell the texture is mirrored with all those freckles and there is just too damn many of them. Otherwise its going excellent.

I actually ment a tut for the texture map, i suck in 2d drawings, so im looking for a good texturing tut that helps with the implementetion part, and not on the 'what pics to draw' - the drawing is the problem in my case...

the skin shader, hmm very tricky topic indeed!

I put the shader together by layering/masking, procedural colours, luminosity
and specular so there isnt actually a texture with the skin painted on, this should
theorically mean that skin colour can be changed without needing
to new textures in photoshop

as for the eyes the best way to learn about those is to get some
ref on how it works in real life,
above are the components I used to make the eyes.

anyway the body is almost finshed, if any one has crits on proprtion size ect please feel free to comment.
( I will be sorting out the belemishes and symmetry in once the shape is finalized)

Thanks for crits so far.

I think the forehead needs to come out more, the neck is too big from the side view, the back of the head is too large, the ear looks too slanted from the side veiw, and the neck may need to be longer. I don't know a whole lot about anatomy though, so you should get some reference photos.
