Looks great, the wood floor gives that touch of color the first render was missing.
My only crit is the couch could use a bit of work, it looks pretty blocky.. |

I love the lighting and atmosphere, great stairs. Pretty flattering when people compliment your work and crit the furniture off the CD, huh.

Very beautiful and peaceful. Stairs look awesome. What kind of lightning setup you got? And what kind of material in floor?

Nice photograph!!! WHeres the 3D in this?
Seriously, one of the most realistic scenes I have seen so far. The only crit is the couch blockiness wich u easily will get rid off with some chamfer on those edges. But other then that little thing..its brilliant!

thanks guys!!! Think i'll make my own sofas but don't know what style to use, any ideas what else I could put in its place.
I think i prefer the ceramic tiles myself. Its rendered with mental ray with gi and final gather enabled. There is only 1 light which is a mr omni. BloodHo - which floor do you wanna know about? Anyone know how to model plants, I don't wanna just blag one from 3dcafe Want to make it smoother but can't figure out how

cool! btu i think if you take this wood floor (this is the one which is better i think) you should put a nother glas texture to the stairway. a liitle bit warmer because it does not fit this cold green glas and the warm floor and enviorment!

I like the ceramic tile better, too... kind of gives the whole image an icy look. I'm not sure the style of the furniture is so bad, but it looks like it was constructed entirely of primitives; needs some serious edgework on the cushions, imo. If you build your own, I think you would want to stay with with a modern, geometric look, or something in the Bauhaus style (like the current sofa). Anything too soft and curvy would warm up the image too much and completely change the look of the environment (would work with the wood floor, but not the white one).

Jason-Lavoie:- I'll rent it to ya for 100k a year if you want!!!
Marcia:- Thanks for your input, i'm gonna make my own chairs, still not sure of what though, wanna get it right the first time. Do you know of any url's with good examples of such furnature Trisman:- I'm not quite sure what your saying, you think the steps should be more like the upright glass barriers?? I still need to decide what the space is........originally it was meant to be a reception lobby type area but I'd love to have those stairs in my appartment. I may throw them into an earlier residential scene I started a while back (I never finish anything For all you tile fans out there i've attached another for ya. Rekon the walls should be a different colour???
