here's my 3rd try, i just changed some settings on the omni light by the window... i turned Far Attenuation on to try and control how far the light goes and checked Area Shadows on, not much better, but different
also for some reason Im getting these squares on the window, i dont know why thats happening |

now we are getting serious !! hehehe,
ok, you are doing a good job and you must've already realized how much the quality of your scene has improved. A couple of things though. You don't have to use 2 direct lights, that's pretty senseless. The sharpness or softness of the shadows are controled by the UVW size of the Vray shadows. You should choose vray shadows for any light and then high UVW values will soften the edges whereas low values will sharpen them... What kind of GI are you using for first and secondary bounces?? mmm don't really know good tutorials in English. The best tutorials and actually my base of knowdledge of Vray are in spanish forum... But, in the official vray forum I've heard they have tons of excellent info on it.

lol, i really see it now how much better the renders look.
![]() thnx for the tip about the sharpness and softness, i was tryin to figure out what the UVW values were for oh and for the GI bounces, i guess i'm using the default settings because i just turned GI on and thats it, i didnt touch any other settings there. oh and give me the links for the spoanish tutorials, i'll try and translate them using altavista, besides as long as i can read the parameters and settings on the tutorial i should be able to understand what theyre trying to say |
