Character for a short movie

Hi everyone, maybe someone remembers me (i've posted something months ago in the Radarhead's post "My car is faster than your car")

This is the main character for a sci-fi/toonish short movie that i'm working on, is an ex marine that now works as a gladiator (things to do: detailing, adding ears and maybe hair and add some armour/clothes, texture maps):

C&C (be critic eheh) are welcome btw

have to agree with Chris Great work here ! !!
Maybe some more view could help getting the overall form....And some wire too could help ! !!
Anyway looks fine ! maybe the arm could be a little upper on the sholder and the head move a bit backward

Keep us updated!

Yes, of course, im not so noob i've started with 3d a year ago (look at my Register date, may 03) before max i tried to model something with Autocad and Rhinoceros, then i tried it, it was love at first time, for 3 months i've made only inorganics (cars overall), after this 3 months i quit with 3d (work overload ).

Now i've start agan to do something in 3d (2 or 3 weeks ago).

Take care that i'm a graphic (and i love draw toons and chars) then i'm not new with this kind of things

PS: sorry for the bad english

EDIT: i'll post new views tomorrow

EDIT 2: ahh chaos_seed you're right about the head, but is not yet welded to the neck (i plan to weld it when it's finished), this is why it looks too forward respect the spine/body.

I've updated something, look at the image on the top (auto updated)

And there's another view:

as you can see the head isn't yet welded to the neck as i said before.

better ! There 's still is a bit of proportion problem...
Maybe the chest's to large (not too wide) wich might be the cause of the neck 'n head forward strange feelings...
anyway I reely like him ! !

Kinds of reminds me of the metal slug game character...
Can't help to think how great it'll be when textured....

KEEP IT UP !

Cool

I think that character will look good (and with this proportions).
Maybe he need more detail (muscules) having in mind that he is ex marine. Nice clothes - i like boots best. It is always pleasure seeing toon caracter- im a little bored with all that hiper realism in caracters.... all right... keep working... keep us updated....

Don't worry too much on texturing if you need tuts check 3d total you've got plenty of them explaining the base and if you need there'll be no problem in me helping you 'bout that stuff and I think lots of people here 'll too be ready to help a bit on explaining you that part (not that I'm a specialist but well...Few tips can help).

keep it up !

The arms looks a little boxy, other than that it's a very nice cartoon character. Test some other proportions as chaos_seed said, might look better, though I think it's nice as it is anyway.

looks very "buzz lightyear" :P but also very marine-ish

the fingers and forearm retain too much of their original rectangular cross section

the chest under the pecs needs to be smoothed out so it's not just a crease

i'd like to see a wifebeater and maybe pilot sunglasses too
