I'm not sure what you're making, but that hand needs some tweaking
Is too flat and boxy looking right now IMO, but easy to fix.Are those claws at the end of the fingers? If so, they need to be more pointy. About the texture, I'm not sure what to suggest, since I don't know what kind of creature it is. Maybe a scale texture? But I would uv map it and use some bump maps on it too ![]()

Yep, a smiley. SO WHAT!?

Well, hehehe, I guess we all have been there, haven´t we?
I´m not sure what your problem is, I guess that the texturing is not looking as you´d like it, but we can´t guess what´s your idea, so, could you elaborate on that a bit?

What software are you using?
For the scales, I think you´ll have to draw them and then add some texture coordinates to the mesh. Or vice-versa,... hmmm, mapping coordinates first. ![]() You may want to take a look at Tom Greenway´s tutorial "Spotty Guy" it looks similar to what you´re modelling (except for the ears...).

yeah i saw that spotty guy thing...its pretty cool..
Goig! I'm using an education version of 3D max 5, and since I have a mac at home haha..I can't do anything there..so the updates will be off and on..but I do have three periods a day in the computer graphics room..which is like 2 hrs a day..here is an update to that old photo..which I have changed Twitch quite a lot..I changed his jet packs to dual jet packs instead of quad, and I changed his body a lot to be more muscular and anatomically correct. I added nostrils to his head ( he does not have a mouth, rather a thing that attaches on to his neck, so he can "speak" any language) I'll post in a little cause I gtg to the next class..haha
