From jojomondag

Ahh you really captured the moment they really are scary ^^. But why does one of them have a cross on his forehead i mean arent zombies like unholy creatures?

The first is deffinitly my favorite. But whats going on by the zombies left shoulder is it a scar? The lightning is really good in first picture how it blends up from bellow. Well must say high quality work love too see more from you everlite.

Hey cheers for the feedback.

Not too sure about the cross, it was just a case of should i or should i not. Oh what the hell ...

The left shoulder? i think your talking about his crease line, though your right it is a little too high.

Im glad you liked it, i have another currently in progress. I'll stick it up in the next few days.

Cheers again.

Darn it, I'm going to sleep soon. D- you! D- you! especially with that new dawn of the dead movie out *afraid to turn off light* Ah well, it's 5 AM here...I really should get to sleep...the sunrise will come soon...

I think it'd be scarier if you kept the yellowness of the eyes but made them pale...like maybe a blind eye, you know, where it is almost a milky white blue. Like the old Resident Evil zombies, you know?

GREEAT! They are scary as hell! turn the cross upside down and youll have someunholy beasts. I would LOVE to have them in a game, just as goodlooking as your render. Great render, reaally creepy atmosphere! Great job!

Very nice job! I like the cross as it is, gives it a special feeling, and makes it a little provocative

no, but copy the first pic and paste it into your image prog of choice (i chose paint ) and cut out the eyes... to me they don't look scary at all

I like the eyes; they look a bit sad. Between that and the cross, it kinda gives the picture another dimension. Takes it a step above your standard zombie picture, if you know what I mean. For some reason, it doesn't seem as noticeable in the second picture. Might be because you can see the pupils, or something...

'Course, I'd say he's got every right to be upset, since someone went and carved a cross in his noggin in the first place. I mean, zombie or not, that's hardly cricket, right? =P

Hi guys.

Cheers for the feedback, i really appreciate it.

In regards to the eyes.
To be honest i was going to wash out the eyes a little and give him have that blind milky look but i wanted to try something a little different. I'd recently seen a program on tv showing some dead guy (for real!) and all his eyes were tinted in different layers of blood. That was the one thing that stuck out to me, so i went with that idea. Perhaps the blind milky look would have being more effective, hey if it gets used so much then i'm sure there's a good reason for that.

And the cross.
To be honest there was no really reason behind the cross. Though later i had the following thought. Perhaps the cross could be a way of saying, "nup, that cross thing doesn't work! RUN!" after all (in my story) science created the zombies not some evil warlock, and god just don't have no influence when it comes to science. ( i hope this isn't getting to religious)

One question.
I'm curious for a little feedback in regards to the decaying skin around the face, does look effective?

k.regards ~ Dave ~

in answer to your question on the decaying flesh:

it doesnt look real if that's what you're asking. im not sure how to improve it. its difficult to find reference pictures because you are looking for a certain state - after the skin has begun to decompose, but before the fluids have dried up. i couldn't find much in the way of real pictures. but i think if you are going to have the skin peeling away there should be another layer of skin underneath which is more textured rather than the smooth bone? that apears to be showing.

also, don't the lips turn purplish at this state? im not sure thought because i havent seen any rotting cadavers.

I agree on that too and is it just me? that think there's not enough blood, like around the mouth area? Looks cool though
