Future input devices

Because I`m ever frequently annoyed by RSI (Repetitive Strain injury) that my left wrist often suffers from (because I do a lot of my work with the left hand, ie. ctrl-a, ctrl-v, ctrl-x, ctrl-c and so on), I`ve been looking into purchasing an ergonomic keyboard. Any input on this matter is welcome, btw.

However, what I wanted to show you is something I saw while looking for a cheap keyboard:

Hefty...I think. If this the future?

Oh, I'm not asking for input on theose, i'd buy a "normal" ergonomic keyboard if any.

This is just one of a few extreme sahpes I've come across while searching the internet.

I know how you feel Chris. I apparently have small carpal tunnels or something and so I can irritate them really easily. Last year I did something really stupid… I kept working when I was experiencing pain whilst typing. I ended up having to have my left hand immobilised for nearly a week as even moving a finger a fraction of an inch sent pain down my arm. Luckily its ok now, but at the time I was shi**ing myself reading about people that had done the same thing and experienced pain for the rest of their life. It still took me many months before I could type again.

I found that wrist rests are all well and good, but whats really important is to support the elbows. Only type in a chair with arm rests and adjust them up to a level which makes the weight of your arms mainly supported through your elbows.
