owenc1979: Hummm i think maybe you need to mess with the defuse a bit he does not reflect light very well. Im not sure if you have one already but a spec map would add tons to him. Also a translucency map would add alot to the leathery wings, it would give them depth. Becuase on skin the light is reflecting off of the underlayers not the surface. I have some good texturing tutorials in pdf form if you want them PM me and ill email them to you. Mostly they have to do with diferent maps and not much with materials, you should try some variations of diferent materials. If you modify some of the atributes on cell shaders you can get a really cool looking translucency that mimics skin quite well.

wow!!....awesome work.....can u post a wireframe on low poly...without meshsmooth........love the texturing job.....and would like to see a render with some lights.......cheers.
