Good start. The ball should stretch out as it falls and squash at impact. Right now your ball is going back to a sphere before impact, looks off.

I would agree with Wolfe, it is prettymuch doing a pre-emptive squash on hitting the ground. just another key could change that around . Otherwise looks good.

thanks guys.
I have fixed the ball from returning to a sphere before impact, but I need to render it out again. I also fixed the beginning so it has a little bit of a stretch before it hits the ground the first time.

martimus - right now it is a basic my animation class. we are learning the basics of keyframing, deformers(squash and stretch) and eventually a little about fluids. I had a basic nurbs modelling class before this one. Hope to learn alot more on my own time as well.

I will post the update tonight and show you the basics of my animation.(This ball bounce was just a test to get the basics down.)

Thanks for the help guys.
I have started the animation for the project.
the ball bounce was just the test.
Here is a playblast of the music scale version.
I know there is something not right about it so thats why I am posting it here.
It is a tripos site so I apologize. I also dont have a mirror site for it.
Let me know some critiques! File is music scale

I love the music scale animation!! very funny

the comments on the other animation you already have: the ball is stretched before it hits the ground and it squashes relatively much considering its initial speed.. I'll try to create a similar ball movement here
