The Pet: Part II

Some of you may remember this one from when I did Angeline Jolie as a manga/anime character awhile back, but never finished the pet, so here's an update

its nice duck, but two things; i dont know if those are your final textures for the creature? but they dont look as realistic as they could be. and also the tail in the back looks like its thin for to long..

i do like the character a lot tho

i remember him duck A question though, is he a hogstile beast or a kind tempered one? The horns make him look really intimidating like he could rip that stake right outa the ground, but his eyes make him look like hes sad to be chained up lol. Anyways i like him what are you going to be updating on it?

I think the current proportions would make it impossible for the beast to stand this way... he would simply fall down to the front. Make his tail much stronger and heavier or try to shift the body some way backwards compared to his legs.

Thanks guys
I must have spent hours just trying out different textures, not sure if this is a keeper though

sarN: He's a little of both, I guess. He's nice to his master, but I wouldn't get too close to him if I was you
I may make some kind of mouthpiece with straps to hold onto

About the proportions, I made the tail bigger and heavier looking

The texture is much better and the proportions should be okay now. Does the texture allready use a bumpmap? It looks bumpier then before but if not, please add one.

Nice concept and I love the new textures, especially on the body . The saddle looks kind of plastic, with the specular highlights as they are. Oh and I just noticed, the bigger tail makes the character look more possible.

agreed Da3X, I never really thought that the characters skin really looked that bumpy, or scaley..but maybe that's what you were going for, or maybe not?

I put a bump map on the beast and changed the texture on the saddle, not much of an update, but here it is

The bumpmap improves the overall look quite a bit... maybe in some areas the bump is a bit strong... to really judge this we could need a higher resolution shot...
