Unhappy Anybody got a moment...

i would like to find out how to create
the dust trail effect for a short animation
of a buggy driving through the dessert

any help would be appreiciated
sorry bout the spelling...

For a simple effect you could just have a particle emitter attached to the wheels or the back of the buggy and have it emit particles at a steady rate. This will work if the buggy is going at a constant speed, if it is changing speed and direction dramatically you might have to animate the emissions to make it seem right. You can also add some space warps like wind to make it seem more realistic too.

If you want to get really complicated you could use scripting and a rule based particle system (Pflow) to control the emissions.
