Overridding Biped Constraints

Hi i need to animate a character in 3ds max 6 and CS 4, this characters arms i want to be able to move in both directions in both the natural way and the unatural way.

The problem is when i try to rotate the bipeds arms backwards instead of doing that the whole arms moves at a certain point and recoils the whole arm instead of allowing me just to rotate the arm how i want.

any suggestions?

I don't think it's possible. What you could do instead is delete the biped arms and use max bones instead.

is it in a walk cycle, because in between the frames that are allowing the biped to walk, will allow you to move the characters biped in any way, atleast it should let you do that..

can you show a screen shot of what u mean by chance, so i can better help you?
