WIP - Reactor Skirt Test

This file is a animation of a skirt using Reactor cloth, in 3ds Max 6. As I just began working on this today, I'm still trying to develop a process for creating fairly realistic clothes movement.

AVI Format, less than 1 MB

olympus,

I am glad to run across this post. I am trying to do a cloth skirt on a character also. I am using max 5, and been trying to use reactor, but can't seem to figure it out. The help files that come with the manual don't have any tutorials (unless im looking in the wrong place). Do you have any thoughts about how to learn reactor?

I like the skirt you did. It is a great start. I think that when you have it working with a real model you will start to see it come together.

Thanks for any help that you can offer.

xenite, thanks for the kind words, I'll let you know when i'm done. maybe I'll write a tutorial at that time. I learned a lot about Reactor through trial and error, but there was occasional input and advise from a 3ds max instructer.

If anyone has successfully created some decent looking clothes using the reactor physics we'd love to hear about the problems you encountered and how you overcame them.

Cool, I'm just trying to get a handle on how the plugin works. I can't even do calculations for simulations at this point. I'll keep you posted.
