Junk...OH-DAMN

....This is a junkyard scene I recently worked on and I admit it did not go the way I wanted. The idea was to get to learn textures, lighting and to produce a realistic looking scene.
It looks cartoonish...

Yes it does look cartooney.But that is what makes it look unique and different.Your colors are pretty extreme...but a de-saturation will fix that.

I think you should use some brrownish to grey colors, and you should add some noise, maybe instead of the glow. Looks good tho!

heh, their nice, but the first one, the background is obviously a picture, doesnt look 3d in the back

I am not sure whether to take this as a compliment (it can't be looking that real - is it...??). The background is lacking some depth.
Anyway I reandered a wire (never seen a wired scene b4 - at least not in a forum) with the blur. Looks kinda funky. The scene takes about 5-10 min just to open in Max. I have a dino-comp (Intelosaurus); and I kinda overdid the grass... .
