Technical Illustration
I recently did up some isometric projections of a Mercedes engine to illustrate the assembly sequence for a scale model.
Not my best work, and i cut some corners - but it was a freebie ![]() More here: http://mwmiller.net/prowork/prowork.htm Work is all done in illustrator. The key is to draw it out in plan view and then distort into plane using the values in the attached image isotools.jpg |

thanks Do you do tech Illustration for a living? Not many of us left anymore In any case - here's the kit review for the engine model. I actualy made the thing - and it wasn't easy http://www.internetmodeler.com/2004/june/aviation/Merc.php . kind of interesting making a physical model of something I've modeled digitaly: yeah - I'm all over this engine mark |

mmiller no i dont do it for a living, im still goin throu University, but ive beed studying it for about 5 years now, some in my spare time and some full time extra classes. i enjoy it, not just for technical side of it, but it gives me understanding of perspective that i can apply to all means of work,
