Hi Hp!! haven't seen you in awhile! Nice picture, though. but there's not much to comment on atm... the proportions are fine. maybe work on the shading more. Overall its very good for a beginner's piece! paint some more

you have the talent thats for sure, maybe you should just concentrate more. the painting is good and the proportions seem right so how come you can't get the jaw quite right in your 3d model???
only kidding.
really i think your work is improving all the time.

worked a tiny bit more before i gotta do my biology II hw

rubberduck: ppl on other forums keep telling me that it looks like someone else other than adrien brody who i thought it looked like

andoy: yes, well my face is not caucasian in the slightest bit, so i always have trouble, especially with "normal" profiles (mine is almost flat)

OH AND CAN ANYONE tell me if my computer settings are too light hehe...like...can you see the strands in the hair??? if it looks like he's going blue-grey-white, then tell me!! I keep adjusting the stupid thing for websites that are really dark!

That hair on the first one is pretty damn good, lass!

Now learn how to freepaint various materials and lighting styles.

well this isn't really a good painting, it's just a doodle of what i'm gonna model hopefully soon. it's a long story to explain...it's from a book called The Tombs of Atuan...and here she is looking through a spy hole at a mage who is trapped in a labyrinth underneath her

the sketch (yes it's crappy i know)

and an actual painting sketchy thing i did...like i said before i haven't painted much...and this is my first time with oils...

it was a guy, then a girl, then a guy...so now it's sort of a girly guy thing with unfinished shirt(i took the picture at a strange angle so the hair looks weird and has shadows...)

wait is that a good or a bad thing?!?! i know my painting skills aren't up to par

a fun sketchy thing i did off based on Ed Paschke who does all this weird line stuff, never finished it...know it looks cartoony but wth i like it anyhow it was my first piece with prismacolors (i just started art last yr) so the rendering is a little crappy especially on the paper

Observe objects and look at them as paintings. Then practice. Good stuff
