3ds Max - Texture problem

I'm modelling a crap in 3d studio max, and when I go to apply a "crab" texture to a part of the crab through the 'Materials' window some of the crab looks like this:







and here is a screenshot of the texture in my materials window:



and here is the original texture I am using:



As you can see in the pictures, on some parts of the model the texture is really stretched and others it looks normal.

I'm kinda new to modelling so iI might not be using the correct terminology here, but I modeled all of the parts of this crab out of standard primitives and then converting them to an editable poly and extruding their faces/modifying vertices.

If there is any other info you need to help me solve this problem just ask.

try using a UVW map (it's a modifier). If that doesn't work, use photoshop and make a seamless picture of that texture and use the one you edited for the material, that should eliminate the seams you have. Good luck with your crap!
