Rendering is the process of converting 3d objects into a 2 dimensional image or animation.
Max comes with the default scanline renderer.Until you get to Max version 6 which has mental ray render included. There are many 3rd party renderers out there. The most popular being Brazil and V-ray....but there are others also... Check out Splutterfish for Brazil and chaos group for vray..each has a free version to try out. When they are installed just go to your render tab and go to current renderers tab and choose what you installed. hope this helps you a little ciao |
