well the maroone box i try to subtract from the larger box. and its SUPPOSED To make a box in the main mesh so in the perspective window i can move the camera inside and see a hollowed out box. but it wont do it!!!! it just dissapears and doesnt make the box inside the solid shape

I still can't see your problem, have you done any previous boolean operations on this object ??
i understand what outcome you are after but it's hard to help with only the bare facts you've told about.
have you got the operands correct.. like A-B or B-A or whatever ??

Kinda hard to tell what ur problem is from the pictures, but i think Andoy is on to something. If u have done multible boolean operations on the same object, errors can appear. If im understanding your pictures right, u are trying to use boxes to "dig" out the windows of a building?
If that is what u are trying u should attatch all the small boxes togheter to make them 1 object. Then use this 1 object for the negative boolean operand.

make sure you are subtracting the correct operand from each other.. if you selected the main mess as operand b then it should be subtract a from b or if the main mess is a it should be subtract b from a .... hope this helps

ok i have done all that i do have previous oprands i have a large box hollowed out down the bottom along with a long one down the middle (to represent a lobby area) and a window. even after ive checked the subtraction A-B (A: box that i want a bit taken out of it and B: being the bit i want taken out of A) and it still just leaves a blank space, or if its in the surface of the main box you can see through the hole in the side to the Grey background

Right click on one of the viewport names, choose configure, check the box that says Force 2 sided.
