A Game or A Movie

Alright...this probably doesn't belong here, but I am putting it in here cause people don't read the other forums (well atleast I don't). So I had this crazy idea, insight, whatever you wanna call it.
*********
GAME IDEA
*********
So, what if a whole bunch of people here got together, and shared there talent, graphic arts (you know what I mean) in a combined effort in the creation of a 3d RPG like (or adventure, or a shooter, or sometype) of game.
I mean, the graphics would be almost unreal if there we like 20 people here willing to work on characters, and obviously everyone here does have the talent, and the programs to do something like that. So I was thinking, someone could start off with a very basic thing, just like a picture, a sketch, whatever of a character,...then someone else takes that, and builds a very sketchy 3d character, and the next person takes that, and works off that, and it keeps going until it turns into a huge hi-poly character, that everyone loves!. Then of course after the characters are all make, I get a game programmer, or we send it off to a company, and we all profit a bit off it (they send back money, money gets into my hands...I distribute the money to everyone who helped out )

**********
MOVIE IDEA
**********
SIMILAR IDEA! Basically we make a few characters like above, and we turn it into a long long movie. If any of you know flash, picture it as a long 3D Flash Movie. Someone makes a script that we all agree on, and we edit it until its perfect. Then it develops off that,
Yes it would be a lot of work, but come on team work.
If you are interested please just post here, if you think its stupid like a lot of people probably will post and say why. I know it would tkae a lot of orginization, but if people are actually interested and cooperate it would work ou

I would be willing to help and join in on this for the movie

but as for a game, that is a little out of the question. Hi poly isnt very achivable in the game industry right now. and that are other things that come in to account with this kind of thing.

and if im not mistaken (which i might be) i think that a few members on the forum already tried to make a short movie.

yes it would be cool. but then again you got to think about a lot of the things that come along with this

Aight, well glad you want to do it ...ya i never realized how to make a game, a video would be much easier, even if we were to combine with another group. We'll see

Good Idea
But like Pat1337 said -"Hi poly isnt very achivable in the game industry right now". No one could play it. Look at Doom3 or Far Cry.

doom has rather low poly models ( about 1000 triangles each model ) what makes them heavy are the shaders teh engines use ( normal mapping, specular, bump, etc ).
