speed modelling challenge week 23 - computer desk chair
speed modelling challenge 23
The "rules" are simple, 1, Each week we'll post a subject for you to model along with a time limit on how long you should spend on it. How you interpret the brief is up to you as long as the final model conforms to what we have asked for. 2, spend no longer than the specified time on the modelling stages then render the image. 3, Post the image here along with your details, software used, time spent etc. Please post only one image per entry with a maximum file size of 100k and with the maximum dimensions of 800x600. This image should include at least one wire frame view of your finished model. Posts with multiple renders of the same object will be deleted. 4, time spent on rendering or texturing is not included in the alocated period to allow those with slower machines to participate on an even playing field. What we are looking for is the quality of the models you can produce "under pressure" 5, if your model is not complete, you can still post as long as it's recognizeable 6, no cheating, we are relying on your honesty here and the idea of speed modelling is to simulate a "real world" environment. If you are working on a project and asked to show a concept model you'll need to be able to get somewhere near the target in the allocated time. Your submission should be a model created especially for this challenge and not one you have stored on your hard drive. 7, No limit to the number of entries each person is allowed as long as each one is a completely new model and not one that utilises bits of previous entries 8, No external links to pictures, they must be attached using the browse button and be no larger than 800x600 pixels and 100k. Any pictures larger than this or links will be removed as soon as we see them and the poster will be disqualified immediately prizes of a 3D Total texture CDs to the best entrants. We'll judge it to avoid the voting process getting too complicated and winners will be notified by email. so, here we go, with this week's challenge deadline - 22.00 GMT Wednesday 24th November 2004 modelling time - 60 minutes subject "office/computer desk chair" we spend an inordinate amount of time sitting on them so this week you are encouraged to have a closer look, see how yours works and make a model of it Good luck |

I really doubt I would be able to do anything this time.
(though attempting to do a Giger-chair within the time limit IS as tempting as it is impossible... Or a StarTrek captains chair.. mmm, that would be easier and I had done a few already... Or HEY a stone textured Flinstones chair! ... I hadn't done one yet.. but hell how hard can it be?Wait I take that one back. All the trouble this contest ever brought to me started with those exact same words ) As fun as this all is... It is also demanding. Maaayyybbee if I get things cleared up sometime before Tuesday (or am again forced by the 'Mrs.' to do a 'some idea of hers'...) I can give it a try. But seriously no promises.
