Character Studio Question- Floating probs
Hi Everyone,
I have a pretty basic question about Animating in CS. I have an animation where a guy is sitting in a chair and I want him to wait a long period of time before he begins to move and stand up. My problem is that even though I want him to be perfectly still until he actually begins his motion to stand I see the character floating around before the playhead gets to the keys for the movement. I already have keys on frame 0 and frame 1162. But even before then he floats down and then back up around frame 700. >_<;; Where are the controls to fix him so that the easing or whatever it is doesn't make the character 'float' before the keys? Is it the curve editor? TCB controls? I've had problems like this before, but I've never been able to isolate the switches I need to lock my bipeds down before I actually want them to move. Any help would be greatly appeeciated. Thanks |

Hey there,
If you want to lock down keys in a similar way to the step tangent in track view try changing the Bias (in the TCB controls) to 50 on frame 1162. If you want to learn what the Tension, Continuity and Bias do, try playing with them whilst track view is open so you can see the results. ta, jbw |

hey! Thanks for the help!
CS is cool, but there are so many keys to manage. I always wonder if I'm going about things the wrong way ![]() |
