Unhappy I also tried

I also tried selecting one layer of cubes at there time, but had difficulties after hitting "auto key" in max. Before that I was able to rotate them around there common center, but after hitting "auto key" the rotation dialog went blank and the cubes rotated along there individual axis. So does anybody know how to manipulate thosw axises or is it just a bug..?

I had to make one of these for a project at work...All I can say is what a pain in the arse! haha

I ended up making one file that turned forward and backward and then I made one that turned side to side. Then I edited the final renders together. You have probably thought of this already, but it might save you a headache for the future.

Later,
Steve

ps edit: I even tried adding a secondary rotatational float thinking that would fix the problem...but no luck.
