Question Nooob question, fast answer

i might seem stupid but i cant find a way to get textures downloaded from internet (like 3dtotal samples) into 3ds max! ive been searching for an hour+ and i cant :P

so thanks in advance!

right click image....[save image as]...onto your hdd....
then place the color image in your diffuse slot....and the bump image in yer bump slot...of the material editor.

Question

thx for the answer, but you skipped the part i need: in what folder do i have to save the file? since i cant browse my hdd from the library.. :/

just press the little grey box next to the diffuse color and pick bitmap then browse your hdd

you can save it anywhere....dosen`t matter....
when you apply it...you will choose bitmap from the diffuse map slot....browse to that image and apply it....same gose for the bump image....
these aren`t actually material files as per say....they are just image files...to be used in the bitmap selection...
