A Marines R and R

A work in progress that is due on next tuesday along with a 15 sec animation and the mech I am working on. School can be a pain. Here is the sketch

The hand will be redone and he is mising his other hand but this is all I can do tonight.

This is all done in photoshop CS

Androgs, wow. Thanks. That is a great complement. Ibbo yes. I go to the Art istitute of phoenix. I am studying 3D animation. We do a lot of traditional drawing, life drwing and animation. I am glad that is paying off.

its looks great in color, but the hand and head look way to small, or atleast out of proportion..

apart from that, excellent job

Christ, His foot is bent because of how it is sitting. I hope this works. Thanks for the Crit. I hope I fixxed it. Here is the finl or semi final. It is due tomarrow and I have to much to do to keap tweeking it. I hope you like it. I had to compress the hell out of it.

very nice piece!... I thought the character was done in 3D too at first glance... is the background done in 3D? it looks very 3D... if it's not, wow! you got the whole 3D effect down homie... well keep it up, I'm likin it much =)

thats a nice semi final work, Rick. I do have some point to say:
1. I think the character and the background still doesn't seems get united each other, maybe its because the shadow or color underneath the character, but I believe you can do better.

2. The edge of the stair or floor he's sitting is too sharp, I'd add a chamfer or rounded edge as well as cracked edge on it, to make it more natural and chaos.

3. The background is nice so far, I'd add more dramatic color on it, maybe a bit red or purple atmosphere to make the situation more deep.

thats all my suggestion, you don't have to follow it of course, just my 2 cents.
overall, Its a good job, I especially like his armor and weapon. its clearly represent that you have put a lot of hard work on it. Keep it great!!

Androgs, Thanks a million. Awsome crits. Here is it as I sit in class and just turned it in. It is going in the display case.. The real file is 250 megs. The jpg allone, hight quality is 30 megs. It is a huge picture. It looses a lot small like this.
