fish eye in maya

hey guys, in max 6, it comes with a tool called panorama export where you can render the area all around the camera as a series of stills that it combines into one big panorama you can look around in. are there any plugins for maya that do something similar? or any plugins that give your renderings the distortions of a real life lens, an extreme example would be a fish eye lens.
a real life fisheye lens would be around 20mm, but if you change maya's camera to a 20mm then it just gets wierd, no curves like a real lens. ok, thanks, and until next time, keep on ignoring me.

To render fisheye effect........

1. Turn on Raytracing (go to the Render Global window either from the Render View portal or under Window-> render globals)

1a. If you have objects in your scene that you'd like to be reflective you must set the Ray Tracing Reflections option to at least "2)

2. Create a scene to view.

3. Create a Camera and point it away from your scene. (no special setting necessary)

3a. Looking through your camera you should not be able to see the outlines of your hemisphere

4. Create ->Nurbs Sphere

4b. Chanel box ->click on Inputs: make NURBS sphere

4c. End Sweep=180

5. Aim the camera directly at the concave surface.

6. Create a Blinn using the following settings:
[see image below]

7. Assign the blinn to the Sphere.

8. Position your camera with its back to the scene...while keeping it pointed towards the sphere.

9. Render! (you'll have to flip the image horizontally becuase your render will a mirror image of a normal cmaera's results

not sure Loren as I don`t use Maya.
But I think it means if you have a white object next to ....say a green wall..and there`s the light hitting the wall.....then the green of the wall will be reflected on your white object...so in that case your relected color would be green.....

ciao
