Animation Demo Reel

Heres the Reel i graduated with at the start of Sept. I had an animation job lined up out of school, so updating my site with it kinda took a back seat, but got some time, so enjoy the reel and a fully revamped site.

Download Zip (9mb):
http://www.3dfiggins.com/scrap/KielFigginsDemo.zip

View Reel (9.5mb):
http://www.3dfiggins.com/scrap/KielFigginsDemo.mov

Crits and comments always welcome, check out the homepage of my site to see the clips that will help replace these for demo reel 2005. Thanks again, Enjoy.

Nice stuff man. I especially like the flip that ends in the hand stand...
...why did you have to go hammer the chick?

Thanks

Wow, didnt know i had these responses to my reel i would have responded much prompter (i normally sign up to get an email notification of when i get a response, didnt happen this time i guess).

karik- the hammer is nodiscriminate : ) nah, it was just the two best characters i had and the anim seemed better with the size difference.

neiy- texturing isnt really my bag, the walker is fully textured but i chose not to use it. Im currently working at TKO Games in TX

deverm- animations great, perhaps some free rigs would help?

aol- hey

wildduck- thanks

dhruvsm- many thanks, glad you enjoyed it

steven- many thanks, i was pleased to have the job offers before school ended, made the transistion a bit easier.

jdgill- that one is geting a hefty revamp, the beast will be remodeled, added dymanics, new doors, a rider, ect, shoud be really cool.
----
And heres my gift to all who want...
----
Due to the large responses i had about my demo reel, mainly dealing with the look of the models I had. I was able to get my setup artists and modelers to allow their work to start going public.

**claw mech now scalable, redownload for updated version**

Here are the Rigs (Maya 6). Enjoy.

Great Job! Where did you study?
And someone got a website with information which explains the principles of rigging?

Hello, I wanted to ask you how much time it took you to do this animations. I think they are very good. Also, I was wondering do you speed up and slow down at every step in the walking cycles, because the movement is very interesting. The only 2 bad thing I noticed, although maybe you did them on purpose, is that some actions are too slow, and the four legged creature runs with too many unnecessary motions.

P.S. Oh, and oner more thing. Can you please tell me some animation movies that inspired you, especially some good japanese ones, with really good action, that I can learn from. I know I have too many questions, but that's because your reel is impressive
